I have a sore throat
So I didn't get to go out and do shite for New Year's. I saw a late movie, but other than that, nothing. I sat on my ass and proceeded to watch all of Six Feet Under. I'm half way through. I bought the box set as a Christmas gift to myself. I like the packaging - it's got faux grass on the top with a gravestone marking "Six Feet Under 2001-2005".
Also, UPS sucks: they tried to deliver a package over Christmas when I wasn't home. Idiots. Now I have to drive all the way downtown and pick it up. My friend called last night - her two year old is in intensive care. They just found out he has diabetes. She left a message sobbing. So now I'm at work. How are you? |

lol why would an American use a British slang word on a board where there are plenty of British people? I'd feel like a pretentious dick.

I had a dream about you the other night. We were at your family's house. I kept calling you Aeroplane and it confused your family. Your younger, teenage sister was very bossy. For dinner, there was spork potatoes (I have no idea what those are) and marmalade. The marmalade was the drink (like lemonade). Your sister served it to me in an ugly coffee mug from Hawaii. We had to sit at the kids table. There were no chairs, so we sat on the floor. The crazy, religious guys from your work were there too. They also sat at the kids table. They refused to drink the marmalade.

wow, those religious guys sure made an impression.
i do have a sister, but she's older. but still bossy. and when i saw her over christmas, we had a conversation about the old children's table we had to sit at years ago because her kids now have their kids table. so this is . . . strange. |

You can call UPS, ask for a redelivery of your package and leave a signed note requesting that the driver leave the package. I would hope my "friend" would show enough concern for me to prioritize and at the very least briefly mention my child's life threatening illness in a thread before describing the weeds growing out of the boxed cd set I bought myself for a holiday. Of course if your desire is really to become a hermit then it sounds like you are right on track. Carry on! |

I spent New Year's in a Bedouin tent in the desert and now I have bronchitis, just like everyone else who was in that tent.
I also conked out around 10pm that night and missed all of the rucus, but I wasn't the only one. |
