Seriously, though, why would the FBI be the people to call? Publishing of intellectual property would be a civil matter, not a federal crime, wouldn't it?

Even if they stole a physical object from Corgan's studio or something , wouldn't they just call the local police? Or is it an FBI matter because the thief crossed state lines or some shit?

Version 1: 2LP resequenced Machina- the new official version
Version 2: Box set that also includes the original versions and extras
Version 3: CD box with literally everything
Version 4: Basic CD double album

Seems mean to keep the extras off streaming. I get why, but not all of us can fork out £50-100 for a box set.

Would be cool if a live show was included. The Gish and SD sets were a missed opportunity to incl. some good live material on CD, not just DVD. Didn’t like the mix tape format of the bonus discs in those sets.

I’m really pleased this project is happening, but these “full extent of the law!!!” threats are so silly, surely if he’d been able to actually get something done about this it would have happened years ago as he’d clearly like to sue someone into oblivion over it. So much public grousing about the FBI is not really becoming

I'm trying to stay positive about this and I'm glad he's keeping everyone up to date but...no Vasily art, "Strength in Numbers" is missing (possibly one of the songs he wants to finish?), most the tracks have been heard and even some seem to be from the Adore era.

What really grinds my gears though is this situation with the live DVD. He really must not enjoy that Metro show or something, at very least he should use the United Center gig. We all know an Arising! show is off the table because that would have D'arcy. Smh.

What happened to the format in which they did those first few reissue DVD's? Those had a full concert plus extra bonus songs like that performance of Crush in Billy's dining room.

What we'll likely get as 'bonus' material are the GATMOG cartoons or some Matt Walker reimaginings of sorts.

God please don't fuck this up Billy...why on earth would he think that Korea gig was the best one from the tour? That show has been available to fans for years, and in high quality too.

I imagine the point has always been that the Machina reissue would finally get those tracks properly mixed and up on streaming services (he’s confirmed thr released versions were rough mixes). Until then maybe he felt it would undo the original gesture to “charge” for those early versions.
