Pale horse is the best thing on this record. Love the production on it, cool work with the textures, and effects on drums.
Oceania pissed me off.. Why fade out? I actually like what was done with some of the vocals, with nicole and bc singing together, pinwheels is a good example. The celestisals is another decent song. The rest of it is eh. I want to hear this with a less offensive drummer. |

A lot of the synth sounds used on this recordare some the same ones used on the skysae re ord, oddly enough.
Sounds like that lame top 40 butterfly song.. Or was it fireflies? Can't remember. |

Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed the delay thing. I listened to it on speakers and I was wondering if there was some feedback loop happening somewhere. It sounded like every instrument was going through a tape delay or slap-back echo, and then the master track itself put through a delay. I think I'll wait til there's a better rip available 'til I listen again.
This is probably the best music that Corgan has made since the early days of Zwan. It's kind of no surprise that a lot of it resembles that era. It sounds like it would fit more comfortably on mainstream radio, which I guess was what Corgan had in mind when he made Zeitgeist. I think if he had put out an album like this instead of Zeitgeist, the whole "reunion" era would have been met a lot more warmly recieved. |

how does one rip music exactly? i wanna try it myself since it seems most of the rips people have posted have some sort of audio glitches.

the lyrics are very good on a lot of this album as well. it's actually growing on me. didn't have any expectation for this, so im really happy about how it turned out, whomever said if they put this out in 3007 w/ the reunion and it being well recieved is 100% correct too. edit: my awesome sexual fantasy location said it

On second listen of celestials and I'm realizing that it sounds like a cheaper version of bring the light during the last half. Well there goes that.

Chimera is C'mon Let's Go done well.
Or Zwan, as noted several times above. I can't believe this album is this good when TBK was so bleah. |

What's this next one? Sounds like Machina. Pretty good. Could hear James in the little lead riff

Yeah its growing on me a lot too... Once you get used to the inferior drumming its pretty sweet. Its nice to see Corgan let loose and be creative on the guitar again... Teargarden was some pretty bleak weak shit haha.

People on HU talking about possible commercial success.
Album is better than it has any right to being but it's pretty unrealistic to expect the public to even be aware of this. Inkless at first I thought he wasted a fun riff but by the end I was sold. I stand by my comment that he'll never again come up with a "top 10 of all time" SP song but this is decent quality. Might have done better if he called the band Billy Corgan & the Celestials. |

Yes this band shouldn't be called smashing pumpkins. That's a silly mistake on Billy's part.. I think he'd have a better shot with this record if he just let sp go.

I was hardly adding fire this idea of comparisons. But the guy said as a whole it's his best since, and that's what I was replying to.
