there's a subtle little piano part in the mix near the end of With Every Light. it's amazing

you can really start to hear it at 3:39 in the right channel

the solo in Starla near the end where it just starts to break down and go whirrwhirrwhirrwhirr at 10:00 or so is one of the best pieces of sound ever made

and holy shit that little quiet outro thing that's like a snippet of a whole other song. what's that? it doesn't sound like a gravity demo but it sounds familiar

This has been mentioned previously in the thread, but I wanted to bring it up again.

In Quiet, starting at ~2:38, there is some background vocals/chanting from Billy, and what sounds like a spoken phrase. You have to turn up the song pretty loud on headphones to really hear it.

Has anyone ever deciphered what he is singing?

https://youtu.be/4N6s2UL1Q6Y?t=2m35s

all I can make out is what sounds like "anybody, everybody"

it sounds like some weird guitar thing more than vocals

you have to turn it up really loud, I hear the weird guitar thing too, but there are definitely words being chanted, it moves from right to left mainly.

Anyone else hear it? I'm not crazy

Never forget:

http://www.angelfire.com/bc/smashing...ngsecrets.html

This old angelfire site includes gems such as, "'rat in a cage' backwards sounds like 'here are my abs'"

Remember being 14 years old and having time to come up with shit like this??

I feel like if you didn't know English there'd still be a possibility that the atmosphere of Dusty and Pistol Pete could still conjure up western imagery in the mind's eye. It's always been a favorite of mine.

That's the more electronic one, right? I remember their website around Machina time had that part on a loop on the landing page until you clicked in. This was before I found that song online. It's so haunting

The outro of "For Martha" is epic - like the sound you hear as you slip this mortal coil and tumble into oblivion

At a bus stop now with nobody around at dusk and Soma kicks in. The opening always made me picture a setting sun.

Yes this feels right
