Billshit's contrived vocals ruin the whole song.

edit: had to dose myself with some geek usa to get past that other song.

I've never said anything bad about SP, or even Billy. And I listen to all types of music but something about this just seems so off. I know it's only 30 seconds but it's such a standard pop-rock song, my favorite thing about SP is the emotion and atmosphere and this seems to be lacking.
Oh well, maybe the other songs are better and there's still tons of amazing old stuff nothing changes that.

damn right, for 20 bucks and hearing old songs im still stoked about it, but im not in fanboy mode anymore.

And to you guys saying its just 30 seconds... its the FUCKING CHORUS. Its the most important part of many Pumpkins songs. Take this SHIT and compare it to Today, Cherub Rock, 1979, Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Stand Inside Your Love, Ava Adore... ITS TERRIBLE!

You people who think we are weird for freaking out about a song where Billy says 'I WANT TO LOVE YOU WHEN YOU'RE SAD' being shitty, you never got the pumpkins or music doesn't touch your heart and soul or something. this is BETRAYAL.

To my ears, it's got a very 70s Queen-thing going on, basically what I expected Zwan to sound like before Zwan happened. Then it breaks into an uptempo Zero b-side that never was with carcrash lyrics; intentionally "bad".

It DOES sound like walking shade man. If this is an indication of what the whole album sounds like, I dont think I'll have ever been more disappointed in my life. ..

thank you. i think anybody who claims: "This is only 1/5th of the total running time of the song, and it's the part that gets repeated over and over, we have to reserve judgement" is a fucking idiot.

The first time I heard mellon collie I thought it just sounded really weird. But, after the 3rd or 4th listen through the album I was blown away. I remember the reason why I doubted it at first was because of the way billy was singing. Man was I wrong . So, I know now that I cant judge this song until I hear the full version or maybe even the rest of the album. From what I can tell. It sounds alot likethe mellon collie era with different vocals from billy

This reminds me of when people freak out when their 'bands' become more 'radio' friendly and mainstream.

Billy is using tarantula to get new fans, then he will rock them out.

if everyone in this thread says it doesn't sound like "the pumpkins" and it sounds like poppy sellout emo bullshit, then billy did the right thing and got himself a fucking hit again. it's not the 90's kids, BWBW would probably even fail to chart in this day and age. Let him do what it takes to push the album. i mean, how much did BWBW sound like today or cherub rock? not much at all really, and yet it went on to become a hit while going against the grain of his current body of work at that point.

Holy freakin crap you guys are insanely dumb. Like, scary stupid. I'm embarrassed to be reading some of this crap.

THIRTY SECONDS OF A SONG. NOT EVEN CLOSE ENOUGH TO PASS JUDGMENT ON. SETTLE DOWN.

Oh. My. God.

Seriously, stop.
