I have yet to hear a note, but this stands to be the greatest compositional effort of Billy Corgan's career. Many of you ignorant pooters have failed to notice, but his talent and writing ability have progressed a great deal with every recorded effort. You will all be hit with complexity and genius so hard you will not even be able to comprehend what good music is anymore. Pitchfork will take every bit of negative criticism back and collectively kiss his ass, and dismiss all the indie crap that deserves to be thrown into a plastic trash bin.

Anyone actually sit and read the lyrics to "Zeitgeist"? I sat and read through the lyrics book the other night on a whim. They're not half bad. There are some weird choices, but I think people who look at Zeitgeist as a slip on his otherwise good 2000s writing should reapproach. Most people, however, think his 2000s writing has been consistently bad. I don't know what to say to those people, other than, "Move on and stop putting your energy into what Billy is doing now."

I wonder at what rate these tracks will be released. At 1 a week, it would be agonizing to wait nearly a year for everything... I expect they use the formal EP releases to punctuate progress, is an EP every 10 days too fast? I think any sort of cohesion will really start to suffer after 4 months.

Well, this reminds me of the Aeroplane box-set, which I thought was just brilliant, so if this is anything like that, then I am thrilled.
I like how each disc in the Aepolane represented a different attitide/style, and this seems to be what Billy is going for again. |
