its sad to say but the fan in me wants to hope that this well be an ok album, not great or good but ok.
jsut based solely on the fact that billy seems all set on going back to the sp1 ways of how he used to do things.

Im 99 percent sure ill be dissapointed in this fact though

I'm hopeful that it might be at least pretty good because the group has finally had a chance to mesh on tour and play together a lot again. Even shit songs like Solara and Knights of Malta sound a lot better when re-imagined in a live setting. So it could be good, hopefully he just doesn't fuck it up in the studio, but I think with Iha contributing, the odds of that lessen a little. Even shiny had pretty good atmospherics and stuff, it's just that the songwriting sucked.

Because people ask: I'm tracking bass for the new SP albums (25 songs currently) and here's the amp setup. A vintage Laney head + an Ebo Customs head (the Laney here is being driven by a Mosky Klon klone); the bass being a Rickenbacker 4001 (we are going out the vaunted Ric-o-sound jack which splits treble and bass pickups to different amps/the Laney driven by the treble pickup and the Ebo driven by the neck pickup). The Laney is going into an Ampeg 8x10 and the Ebo into its custom can which has a 12 and a 15 inch speaker) @laneyamplification @ebocustoms @ampeg (And hey Laney Amps, I haven't done guitars yet but am more than happy to try your new reissue of the Iommi amp If you want to send one!! The main thing that sucks about Billy and the Pumpkins as I've said many times on these forums is that they don't release new music..

I mean.. Billy tries to build up releases for 1 - 2 years.. it gets released and then 90% of fans are disappointed by the quality..

this is such a stupid way for a band to act in 2019..

Billy should put some new music out.. a song or two.. get some feedback from fans.. and then maybe re-record.. or add new songs, etc.

It's so stupid waiting for 2 years for an album.. Billy building it up.. and chatting on Instagram everyday like a 13 year old girl.. and then the music finally drops 2 years later.. and most of the songs suck ass.

Yes. Yes, it is good and cool for an artist to change their work based on fan demands. This is the new model for art creation/consumption and I am loving it.
