VCD's are fun, yes?

So a friend brought me a Vieuphoria VCD back from China. . . any idea how I'd go about playing it on my comp? I tried it on the DVD player hooked up to my TV and I got nothing.

See if you have a AVI file in it

no such luck. lots of .vcd files and a .dat file, though. Sadly, windows things that .vcd files should go to a CADD application.

drag the file called avseq01.dat or something in the mpegav-dir into your media player. that should do it. if it's svcd, use a computer dvd player.

yeah, just use windows media to open the file that ends in .dat and it'll work. i used to live in asia and watched loads of vcds on my computer

Like everyone else said, open Mediaplayer, and do Open and navigate to the .dat file on the cd and play it.

LOL at the quality, though; I think they didn't even use a high-quality VCR to convert this.
