I just encoded the audio from the Lost Tapes '94. I'd be happy to trade with anyone from Canada or the USA. (kinda low on cash for overseas trades )

I decided to keep the linked tracks on one track.

The first 3 have a buzzing sound from the DVD. It's from the original tapes so i can't fix it.
I was wondering if i should cut the muted Somewhere Over The Rainbow out. It's still there for now.

I'm not ripping anyone off. There isn't an audio copy of those shows out. Earphoria was traded a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago.

haha whatever. It's live audio. Not studio stuff. I AM NOT trading the video. That would be ripping someone off. I'm probably actually helping sell the DVD because if anyone hears this stuff that doesn't have the DVD yet they will surely want to see the video. I know i would.

You can't make the argument on the basis of Earphoria, because it didn't exist as a commercial release until last week.

It's shady, at best. It's obvious that someone would try this, but trading...dunno. Legally (for what it's worth), you could only have an audio copy if you already own the DVD.

Either way, it's hard to argue that the Lost Tapes were part of the incentive for people who already owned Vieuphoria on VHS to buy the DVD. Thus, it could be interpreted as hurting revenues, which is technically a hallmark of copyright infringment.

Take it as you will. My guess is that, at the least, the Hub probably will ban it.

sequence IV sounds a bit different from the finished albums. the gish rough mixes don't sound very different to me from the official release at all. anyways, i think if virgin came after the hub for anything right now, it'd be that.

I'm sorry, I simply must dissent. The lost tapes disseminating means that vhs owners of vieuphoria might forgo a dvd purchase. Plus, the quality is decently high - let's face it, still digital. I don't think that the Gish rough mix is at all a decent comparison. That is an ANA-gen sourced tape of interest only to curious fans who probably would already own the album itself. You can't own the lost tapes, though, without buying the dvd.

I can see what you're trying to say, but I think in the eyes of Virgin, the priorities would be much different. But who am I to say?
