I have no idea how people manage to make lists like this. But I tried. No order intended.

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Stooges - Fun House
Guided By Voices - Under the Bushes Under the Stars
Lewis - L'Amour
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust
Velvet Underground - S/T (the 3rd album)
Suicide - S/T
Neil Young - On the Beach
Psychic TV - Dreams Less Sweet
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

It's fairly pedestrian. Not trying to be a hero.

Since this is an SP board (essentially) I could probably swap out siamese dream with modest mouse - moon and antarctica just because that album meant so much to me and changed everything

Pointless to try and issue a ranking though as I don't even listen to the top 3 albums of my list that much anymore, but I'd have to have em up there anyways.

A list like this is super hard if you like different niche stuff

like a lot of albums I could list as my favorite at this one particular thing but do I like that thing more than this other particular sound really just depends on what I'm feelin atm

My Morning Jacket - Z
Josh Ritter - Animal Years
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker - kind of hard to just pick an album from him.
Beck- Sea Change
The Verve - Urban Hymns
Beatles - Revolver
Sigur Ros - Takk

lol yeah right. You, the guy who refuses to listen to whole swathes of music based on his perceptions about people who also like that kind of music, you're the guy with the taste that's too diverse to keep confined to a list
