If you wanna win in the NBA you have to bet the opposite of what the line would indicate. Most would think "ahhhhhh 13 points, way too much for Denver, LA should cover that"... WRONG that lines telling you it's gonna be a blowout in Denvers favor. Don't try and bet on how you "evaluate the players". You do that and you're gonna lose your shirt. You gotta bet strictly on what the line indicates- plain and simple

Some games like the one today with Utah and the Clippers are evenly matched with equal money coming in on each side where it's harder to determine a winner. Those are the NBA games that are played "straight up" and without a fix in my opinion.

Since you're a self confessed NBA junkie, I'd challenge you to correctly predict the outcome of more games than I do.

Don't you see in this thread how day in and day out I correctly predict when crappy teams are going to beat good teams? That is no fluke Trotsky. But you know what? 90% of the betting "squares" as I call em are emptying their bank accounts on the "better team" and screaming to the heavens when they lose. They can't believe their "bad luck"... While the people like me who are in on the scam are laughing it up counting our easily earned profits.

Yes, it is. And your 57% (basically) has been consistently ahead of the top ten. You get to 60% for a good stretch fuzzy, get one of those radio shows on the weekends.

Yeah man, I think next year I'm gonna make some new handle, and have a website ready to roll out and get some people attentions on the forums by giving away the picks, and once I have a bunch of followers I will announce that I'm leaving to roll out a modest monthly subscription model. Just something like 40-50 bucks a month to start off with. And If I only have 15 people sign up, that's some pretty good additional scratch per month

Same philosophy that I use in NBA.

Look for a line that doesn't make sense by my analysis... The college games I bet tonight I felt that they shouldn't be favored by nearly as much as they are.

I figured Illinois should maybe be a 3-4 point favorite, so seeing that Vegas had the line as -9 and seeing 70% of the betting public on Valparaiso showed me that Vegas was expecting an Illinois blow-out. Thus I bet accordingly.

At half-time Illinois has a comfortable 17 point lead. I feel good about it.

Same theory for why I bet Utah... and I did put a little bit on Clemson for the same reason, but decided to leave it off the forum because they might not cover, and I don't want that to be used as ammo and insults against me.

I mostly only wanna post picks here that I'm 85% sure will win.
