God I should have reached for for J. Cotchery in more FF leagues. Him and Favre are going to be sick all year.

Eagles look great. Not a weakness on the team. Plus there have been two awful calls against them. A PI no call on DeSean Jackson near the endzone and a phantom PI call on Mikell.

Our defense looks sick.

So? Eagles always come out flat in the first game and were without our top 2 wrs. We look great.

You're playing one of the worst teams in football. The Eagles might win eight games.

The Texans must suck even worse than usual, because there's no way the Steelers are this good.

Watch out for Buffalo this year...the defense is strong as hell and Edwards and Lynch are gonna finally bring Buffalo a playoff berth.

They were but as others have said, we were playing a terrible team. Sure, it's a good thing but remember that Detroit game last year? Yeah.

Personally, I was more excited about Joe Flacco starting in Baltimore, not looking terrible and getting a win. He's a former Blue Hen (like me), you don't see many of those in the NFL and when you do they never stick around. I'm not saying he'll be the next Rich Gannon but he might not end up in the AFL.

I love the idea of a bunch of Baltimore accents saying "Joe Flacco."

Also, I forgot how fun it was to have Sammy Morris.

The Eagles might win 8 games? Let's just throw out the fact that they won 8 games last year and are a far improved team this year.

Looks like Brady is out for the year

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns

Sources: Brady done with severe knee injury
By Michael Silver, Yahoo! Sports

Buzz Up PrintMore From Michael Silver'New' Eli enough for Giants Sep 5, 2008 Taylor still on the mind of Redskins Sep 4, 2008
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to miss the rest of the 2008 season with what two sources described as a severe injury to his left knee, suffered in the first quarter of the Pats’ 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium Sunday.

While New England coach Bill Belichick said in his postgame press conference that he had no update on the status of Brady’s injury, a source close to the quarterback indicated it involved serious damage to the knee. That could ******* a torn anterior cruciate ligament and perhaps other ligament and cartilage damage.

“It’s bad,” a team source said. “We’re going to have to play without him.”

Brady was hurt as he stepped up in the pocket to make a throw to wideout Randy Moss. Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard, who was on the ground, lunged forward and struck Brady’s leg, which buckled as he released the ball.

Brady was helped off the field and was later led down a staircase by team officials, presumably to undergo tests.

Fourth-year quarterback Matt Cassel, who had thrown just 39 passes in his career before Sunday, replaced Brady and completed 13 of 18 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown. Cassel, who backed up Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC, hasn’t been a starting quarterback since high school. He won a competition with Matt Gutierrez during the preseason to retain the job as Brady’s primary backup.

Knees aren't supposed to do that.

Nice to know that the Lions don't miss Shaun Rogers at all...actually they do. Their offense didn't look half-bad...they just need to learn how to tackle.

Did you really need to ******* the picture?

I am not believing anything until it comes from the Patriots. I'm really supposed to believe Matt Light's mouthing off to Trent Dilfer about the situation? Really? HIS ACL IS TORN. HIS MCL IS TORN. BOTH ARE TORN. HIS LEG FELL OFF. HE NEVER EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
