What is your Favorite Digit of the '90s?
What's the best digit in the '90s? Do you prefer the 9, or the 0?
I think that 1 is underappreciated. A lot of people forget that it's even in there because they don't realize that "'90s" is an abbreviation for "1990s. " The 9 comes twice, so it sort of has an unfair advantage. Do you consider the apostrophe a digit of the '90s? |

personally I like the 0 a lot. 0 has a really nice symmetry to it, and the symbolism of 0 could be infinity since there is no beginning or end. yet at the same time its value is actually nothing, the literal lack of anything. wow.

i had this thought about clocks today. how they are measuring devices, much like rulers or pipettes or a balance. i dunno, kind of blew me away for a moment. i'd just never thought of it that way before.

we could argue about the apostrophe, but other than that, I say love them all, the zero and the one, and the nines. that said, personally I prefer the space before and after, if there isn't one, the layout is not for me. - 1990's - |

The other day I was thinking about how weird it is that we can measure and assign value based on conventions that use multiple dimensions, like miles per hour is a measurement on the axes of both space and time.
I guess square feet is the same thing, length versus width, but it seems more profound when time is involved |
