Rad as fuck

Plenty of great stuff on the deluxe reissue. The live and loud tracks are killer

it was probably exactly the same but he changed the names and switched 'fugazi' with "nirvana"

OK I don't remember if I posted this in that other thread so I'll post it here

Here's a really great interview with Albini about the set.
http://vishkhanna.com/2013/08/16/ep-24-steve-albini/

He talks specifically about this letter, and says he regrets the letter now and that it was written in youthful arrogance. Despite that, he OK'd it's inclusion on the set as providing historical context to the album. That's pretty cool that he's willing to show himself with his pants down (if that's what you want to call it, depending on your point of view about the letter in the first place) for the good of this thing.

Anyways, great interview about this box if you haven't heard it already.

Steve Albini comes off as being really intolerant of anyone that thinks differently to him.

albini is good in the same way eno is good - they create rules for themselves and exist fantastically within those self-imposed boundaries. i can support that.
