billy can wear a dress every day for all i care. but at this point he seems to do it just because he is known for doing it

at least they stopped wearing fucking costumes after the zeitgeist tour

I didn't mind the costumes. Not to mention they were a lot better live during this era.

it's a little weird for me to finally see him say this

this might be the single biggest flaw in his songwriting process for the last decade and just seeing him acknowledge it is at least refreshing

Both are equally ridiculous. But I suppose that's a part of The Flaming Lips' image and encapsulates the sound of the band itsef. In contrast, I don't get that vibe from Smashing Pumpkins, they don't sound like a dress-band.

But then again, I thought their Adore-era garb was fucking retarded. Except for D'Arcy's nips, that's was OK by me.
