January/February 1996 was their live peak for sure.
Their early 1997 run was great as well, but no Jimmy.

That Astoria 1994 show from Earphoria sounded great too and was probably the peak of Siamese Dream era, I was really hoping that whole show would have been in the re-issue somehow - I was sort of disappointed it was the 8/14/93 show. Mostly because that was already one of their most bootlegged shows ever and easily available on youtube. I'm assuming that decision was based on it having the best video quality available. If no video was available for Astoria, it's a shame SD was only a "deluxe" edition with 2CD/DVD. It could have used a live CD or something and Astoria might have worked for that, throw a few bonus tracks on there to fill out the live 2CD set.

Yeah I wish BC would put out as much of the archives as possible, or just throw in a couple extra discs per reissue of standout live performances

I remember on twitter him saying that MTV lost the tapes for the full Brixton show...so why not release the full SBD recording? It's a kickass show in any form.

Regardless I'm sure it'll be released in 11 years or something once the band finally disbands

The live disc from The Aeroplane Flies High makes me want a full concert in that quality (mastered a bit better though)

93-96, no need to get more specific than that. virtually any Pumpkins fan of any persuasion will agree that between 93 and 96 Billy Corgan shat golden songs day and night.

i think mcis is overrated. yes it has some fantastic songs but it's not good enough as a cohesive album and it's produced like shit on at least half the songs, if not more. there i said it.

sd/adore are sp peaks.

the first guy I took guitar lessons from became obsessed with Gish when it came out. When SD was released he quit his job to follow the band. When MCIS came out he thought it was so awful he completely rejected SP and basically stopped listening to them

the mountain of tsp's pinnacle has many peaks, all of which are mcis era live silverfucks.

I have spoken.
