Also, are there any other nu-metal bands we want to discuss before a new page begins?

"I’m all for masks. I think masks are good. . . People have seen me wearing one."

After much squinting, the writing on the wall has finally come into focus. There's so much time left for backpedaling to a forgetful audience, too.

I get frequent sore throats from allergies too, and it's been sending me into a panic every time. Tests aren't even available for just a sore throat here. Minimum requirements are two symptoms that must inclewd either shortness of breath, cough, or fever AND being in a high risk category, or documented exposure to a known positive case. Testing for everyone!

I had a guy at work argue with me that COVID doesn’t spread in humidity inside or outside because I had a shield & N95 on and that I needed to “educate myself”. When I told him well my mother’s good friend is working at a COVID unit, why don’t you tell her that, he got really pissed off and stormed out.

Was entertaining.

All of which wouldn't even have to be argued if people could just shut the fuck up and wear the mask for the greater good. Even if you don't believe in the science, feel free to roll your eyes etc. but GeorgeCostanzaWeAreLivinginaSociety.gif

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/wh...ics-2020-06-16

If you won't listen to the medical professional and epidemiologists, listen to the financiers:

"Some 38% of Democrats and 24% of Republicans at that time said that they wore masks at all times. By the second week of June, some 60% of Democrats and about 34% of Republicans responded they wear masks at all times.

That is the largest difference in mask wearing across all demographics, including household income, age, race and gender, said pollster Chris Jackson, senior vice president for Ipsos Public Affairs.

In early April, “Trump had not made a point of not wearing a mask,” Jackson said. “Once he very clearly did not wear mask in public, that transmitted a signal that if you’re a good supporter of the president you don’t wear a mask.”"

This is 100% the Trump Virus at this point. I can't imagine even Brainless the Second GWB fucking this up so badly. And he and his father didn't even vote for Trump!

Also:

Look up the NYT heatmap of COVID-19 outbreaks: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...irus-maps.html (just view in incognito - consumer: 1, market: 0)

And compare it to the 2016 electoral college map by county.

There is a strong correlation between states with Republican governors, US senators, or who voted for Trump in 2016 and exponential virus growth.

But what about California? Sort of an outlier, no? Well, look at the counties experiencing outbreaks. They are the reddest parts of Cali.

Don't listen to these fucking criminals as they start to adopt the common sense practices that rational adults have been adhering to since April. They bought into the cult of Trump, and there's a body count now. Relative to the baseline for deaths if we had adopted practices like South Korea. Trump is the reason that many workplaces won't adopt mandatory mask policies - because it's "too political". Thanks to our yankee danky doodle piece of shite leader.

You know that Afghan bounty program Putin was using? He's doing the same fucking shit on our own soil via his sock puppet DJT.

Vanilla Ice's fourth of July show in Austin, TX has been canceled. Don't worry though - "This date has been canceled and will be rescheduled for another time," the rep said in an email to CNN.

In the past 4 months I've only been to the grocery store and the post office.

Where are you idiots going that you have to complain about people not wearing masks?

What if I write a song that I think sounds like "Bodies" by The Smashing Pumpkins, but actually sounds like "Bodies" by Drowning Pool?

I guess so long as I get the drummer to count sextuplets in vowel sounds and not in "nuthinwrongwithme's."

yeah i come into contact with hundreds of people a week for work so i'm kind of like eh re: going to other places. definitely try to stay outside/masked/distanced. even though i am quite sure i don't have it, being quarantined awaiting test results is stressful and is going to make me more cautious in the future.

I'm trying to think of an SP knockoff band that would fit the analogy, but I don't know that they exist? Silversun Pickups a little bit? Killhannah? Killhannah was a thing that happened, right?

Only Kill Hannah song I remember is "Lips Like Morphine," and I remember find it annoying. SilverSun Pickups first EP and first two albums were good, though.

Weird. I just looked up Kill Hannah, and apparently their first and last shows were also at the Metro.

Billy repped both bands. I believe he might have appeared on stage with Kill Hannah back in the day as well, and IIRC told the audience they were the next great generation of rockers or whatever
