Completely OT: Need help with lacking of coding knowlage (Javascript & CSS)
I wouldn't have posted here, but the people on the trading forum tend to be more helpful and a little less frightening than the General Chat board (which is where I was getting no help).
I've uploaded some non-working code here: http://iii.digitalrice.com/code/index.html Just view the source. I don't really kow much about Javascript and CSS, but I've worked a little with C++. The stuff I typed out was to do the follwoing as a test for something I'm incorperating in a website I'm making: It's suppsed to have three layers of text; all on top of each other. Two are suppsed to stay hidden while one is visible. You control that by the buttons at the top. The buttons at the bottom are suppsed to move the text up and down. None of this is happening. I don't know if I've come to the wrong sort of logic in working this this way (I'm also going to use the "overflow: clip" command to make the text seem like it is scrolling within a box) or if it's just not possible to do. I'm pretty sure it is. I think I've seen it before. I'd be happy to even rip it off someone at this point. If anyone can help me I will extremely appriciative. I'm absolutely insane at the moment and need rest. If you can help me out, please post below, IM me at (AIM) Egadsman0, or e-mail me at [email protected] Thank you. I'm going to bed. Goodnight. ------>Jeff Compton |

mind you, i just did some rework to fit it to your needs. it is originally from this site: http://www.dhtmlcentral.com/script/script.asp?id=5 if you need such standard stuff, try http://www.hotscripts.org there's nearly nothing which hasn't been done before
