at work, at the very end of a long hallway, there is a large dexter promo poster that is like the only thing to look at when the walk down the entire hallway. it's just dexter's face staring vacantly with blood splattered on it.
it's unsettling. |

I just watched the new episode...not bad. It looks like that detective is off his nuts for now.

seen up to last week's ep. Michael Hall is great. Mixed bag, but overall the show is good. The side stories with the cops are terrible. I don't give a shit about Laguerta or Angel or Dokes. And I still can't tell if Dexter's sister is just an annoying character or a bad actress.

You have a point. The acting is uneven at best and horrible at times. I respect that they are trying to flesh out some of the peripheral characters but I just don't care.

I watched... three episodes? of the first season, and then it got dropped because I had too many shows to watch.
I caught the season opener whenever it aired, and I've kind of gotten sucked back in. Of course, I have no idea wtf happens in the first season, so I'm borrowing it from a friend of mine when she finishes the DVDs. |

Whoa. Don't touch season 2 before watching season 1 in its entirety. Major twists from season 1 will be spoiled.

I didn't watch the season opener on purpose. I haven't watched any since, either. I wanna catch up on season 1

pretty stressful, i've been there 1 week. i have all this stuff due in the next day or two. i get up at 630 now and sit in traffic for an hour. and then work 10 hours, and then sit in traffic for another hour, then check the internet out for 15 minutes, iron my shirt for the next day, and go to bed. i think it'll be better in about a month and a half. at least that's what i'm hoping

i don't know how to iron clothes. i just throw my stuff in a dryer with a damp cloth for 10 mins to get rid of the wrinkles.

maybe 4 years ago, i started feeling like ironing my clothes relaxes me. it took a while to get the technique.

that's my problem - i could never get the technique down. i'd always have creases in the wrong spots on my shirts and pants. i don't know if it was too much steam - not enough steam - to hot or to cold...
thank god for the dryer trick. |

i haven't seen this season yet, but they're DLed. Saw all of last year. Was incredibly disappointed in the season finale vs. the original book - this is not a case of "book is better than movie" but rather the ending there was so much more... apt. it helped to really define dexter. also this season isn't even based on the second or third books so i'm not as excited.
