Nobody really knows that happened with the original Megaman between the original games and the X series. IIRC the writer said that X is a different robot and not the original. Dr. Wily's last creation was Zero, who he built to kill the original Megaman.
But yeah, X-X4 are thoroughly amazing. 5 is a pain in the ass and 6 is garbage. Never played the others. |

You know, I owned a SNES, and loved the 8-bit Megas, so I'm not sure why I never got into the later series
I've tried revisiting old games through ROMs every once in a while and I think the magic has just passed for me, though I will never delete Gunstar Heroes from my phone out of principle |
