I believe that's on Adore Demos II isn't it? That's so 15 months ago or more.

Track info: Tracks 1-10: Feb 1997 - Chicago Recording Company
Length: 42:00

Notes
A collection of Adore-era demos, which first popped up on ebay in late Jan/early Feb 2000.
Track 1 is labeled 'The Other Side'.
Track 4 is the same as the album version.
Track 8 is labeled 'I Need You Around'.
Tracks 9 and 10 are labeled 'Batman take 1' and 'Batman take 2'.

Adore Demos II:

SIDE ONE
---------

01 Lover
02 Let Me Give The World To You
03 Because You Are
04 Satellites
05 Without You
06 Joy
07 Blissed And Gone
08 Saturnine
09 Cross

SIDE TWO
---------

01 Winterlong
02 Soot And Stars
03 Chewing Gum
04 Do You Close Your Eyes
05 My Mistake
06 Jersey Shore
07 Valentine

The Adore Demos I may or may not be cleaned up, they are separated. The Adore Demos II I have may or may not be cleaned, up, more likely not, as they are still full sides of the tape in single flacs.

I've also still got the unedited version of QAOS.

Why would a 3% fast rip be desirable? If the machine can't play at the proper speed, what makes one think it would be of otherwise fine quality fidelity? Honestly, if there is a real reason, I'm curious to know. And "completeness" doesn't count as a reason.

It was the rip that most of us heard first, and a lot of people got used to the faster, more vinyl-y sounding versions of the songs and then found they preferred them to the newer rips.

What Corganist said. Purely for nostalgia.

i did finally get that agnew 3%fast version...

for those still interested:
MACHINA II / The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music (Agnew) : The Smashing Pumpkins : Free Download & Streaming : Internet Archive

it's desired because it's the first version many of us first listened and grew accustomed to.
the 'upgrades' always lacked a little something because they seemed slower then the faster 3% speed, and with the pitch a bit higher a bit and it translates into a more aggressive recording imho.
It's how i first knew and remembered this album to sound.
