My brother drinks at least a litre a day. My mother weaned him early, straight onto cow's milk, and he's been drinking it ever since. This is my violent, drug addict brother btw.
My other brother and me each breasted for a couple of years (I did three ) and we can take or leave milk. I spent five hours in the kitchen last night prepping food for the week and unloading groceries and cooking dinner. Kinda sick of food now. But today's suburban fare will be easy to assemble before I go to uni, so my husband can just stick it in the oven for him and my younger son (elder son is away on a school excursion for a couple of nights). It's this - it looks revolting and American, and because it's the kind of food that was banned in my house, because it was too gross and un-nutritious, it's now the kind of food I can't help being secretly obsessed with as an adult. It's basically baby food. And I have five litres of vegetable soup with barley, split peas, lentils etc. ready to go, for the week. And enough shredded slow cooked chicken to last for three meals (one lot will go in tonight's meal), and frozen bread rolls with ham for the kid's lunches so I just have to pull them out. And two litres of chicken stock. And two loaves of home made garlic bread, with garlic butter I made in the food processor (just butter, fresh garlic & parsley, and salt & pepper). I put them in the freezer. I can pull out a loaf and serve it with vegetable soup later in the week, for an easy supper. And I washed, spun and put away the salad leaves and fresh herbs, so that they'll last the week. |

He's off the hook for a couple of years, while I'm studying full time. Not only am I not bringing in any income, I'm spending ~$20k/year of his income on studying creative writing, which will probably lead to me being nothing more than a weekend novelist. :/
So I kinda just do the housework now and keep quiet, for now. And have even come to an agreement regarding physical intimacy. Truly have prostituted myself for my art. Well, you know. If you can call it art. For my attempts at art. |

basically. but the best way i've seen for efficiency and getting the most out of your pineapple is the part where he spirals the fruit after peeling it.
most people cut those brown bits off one by one or peel off too much pineapple in the first place wasting it. |

interesting statistic: 83% of Belgians regularly refuse to eat chocolate due to deeply-rooted yet scientifically-debunked fears over harming "cacao nymphs" — the microscopic fairy-like creatures believed to live just beneath the surface of the substance

oddly, this antiquated paranoia has seen a resurgence in the last decade, the effects of which have sent Belgium's economy into a gradual but steady decline

Oranges are in season here and I buy 3kg a week for $3.49 or something ridiculous. I've been cutting them up but I tried this today with my 11 year old and we ate two oranges each, today. So cool. Thanks slunken. This may be a new obsession....
Reprise I keep my nails really short and my son bites his, and it still worked. |
