New season of Silicone Valleys been pretty funny. The Gilfoyle characters fucking hilarious.

I just watched the first 2 episodes of the new Billy Christal/Josh Gad FX comedy series "Comedians". It's actually pretty damn funny too. It sorta takes the Curb Your Enthusiasm framework

Daredevil is in fact very good.

Network tv is so over. You compare this to Arrow or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D or Flash (all terrible). They're a joke in comparison. No awful cunt WB type actors in this. This is like the best comics put into film.

Though i have to say i was uncertain after the first two episodes. But then it hits its stride. I guess i felt the Battlin Jack Murdoch/Young Matt storyline was too familiar for me to really give a f about even i clearly important to anyone who doesn't know the character.

This is Marvel again killing it and making WB's tv stuff look like amateur shit (though like i said AGents of S.H.I.E.L.D isn't any better than what WB has put on tv so the problem is just network really). Maybe they need to learn a thing or two and just make this stuff for HBO or NEtlix and the likes. It's too bad Jessica Jones will have Krysten Ritter...but looking forward to Cage and Iron Fist. Also....why can't we get a Punisher netflix series too? Get all the Marvel Knights on there. Punisher was always probably the one marvel character more fit for a tv series.

This is i think the only comic book adapted series that's been any good so far in history (i mean outside of films)

i've been watching daredevil to pass time on the elliptical. i'm on episode 5 or so and it's ... alright. not really something i'm just DYING to know what happens next, but i do agree these shows are slaying network tv. especially on something like netflix where you can toe the line right between squeaky clean and blood/guts/sex/omg which is perfect for a show like this

pretty sure the only douche bag up in here has always been you . You've got the easiest trigger.

i made one comment on the costume (thinking it was definitive at the time) and you seemed to assume i was judging the whole show on this. I never was or would have. I still think it's legitimate to discuss costume choices when it comes to comics characters.

I do miss the more high flying DD from the comics a little i have to say though. But they're going for "realism" and i can dig that too. That fight in the hallway when he saves the boy at the end of the like 3rd episode was really well done.

Anyone who feels superheroes is a lot of special fx bullshit should probably watch this. Hell it barely has 5 mins of actual action per show,

I'm just glad there's finally an adaptation worthy of his name since he's pretty much my favorite of all marvel and dc.

I think he's more interesting than Batman. More relatable.

Rich? He takes cases of non guilty people who can't pay him half the time. He's not even lawyer rich, certainly no millionaire, and certainly several billions away from batman rich. He's also from lower class. Dad was a boxer. I think that does in fact make him way more relatable than rich playboy who can't somehow get over his fucking parents death 20 years on..

I mean were still talking comic book characters, they can obviously only get SO relatable.

He's also you know, not written to be the super invincible badass that Batman is. Which is also more relatable. And hes had a horrible love life.... And he doesn't have all these incredibly unlikely gadgets and vehicles.

Blind batman comparison is dumb, really.

Daredevil is like the 8th highest rated show ever on imdb. Upon learning this, I realized imdb ratings are completely meaningless

Yeah it is rather overrated on imdb i noticed too. Its good. Its not the best show i've ever seen.

Nerds get overexcited and hyperbolic. Always been this way. BUt if it can encourage marvel an maybe eventually DC to continue in that vein, that's good

nothing happened? A bloodless wedding. All three of the remaining Stark kids made huge decisions that obvs are set ups for the remainder of the Series. The Mountain made an appearance. Cersei found fundamentalists she could use to do her dirty work. Tyrion and Jorah.

It seems like they packed a lot of big plot points into a relatively quiet episode.

Also next week we get to see the Sand Snakes

I'm liking the turn Jon Snow is taking. He's resolved and taking no shit from anybody.

Does anybody know where his broad sword came from? Ned Stark's gigantic sword ended up being melted down and recast by Tywin Lannister. I can't remember if Jon's sword has some story behind it.

edit: I had forgotten this.... http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Longclaw

It was Jorah Mormont's long blade, which had it's hilt replaced after Jon joins the Night's Watch.
