Tape numbers make more sense to me, if it's mm/dd I have no idea where that Blank Page Mancow version should come from.

Man, I love that interview. Taped it off the radio - had it transferred to CD - and traded that shit 'round the globe. Just such a fun interview, along with some cool versions of songs to boot.

I hope we get all of the b-sides from Adore's singles, too, like Puff Daddy's Perfect, Summer, etc. I know we already have them, but it'd be nice to have a complete box set of everything Adore.

And btw, 5 versions of Crestfallen would actually be pretty awesome, just so long as it doesn't take away from or replace other unreleased material.

I'm also really hoping we get instrumentals for ALL of Adore's tracks. It's such a beautiful album, and being able to appreciate all of the work that went into the pianos and synths and strings and ethereal arrangements would really showcase the album.

It would also be really cool if Billy finally let the cat out of the bag regarding the inside-joke behind "17." I think he once alluded to him wanting the album to end with 17 tracks, but Virgin of America told him no because they felt it would be too long. So he recorded 17 seconds using the melody of Blissed + Gone and just tacked it on...? I think the album was originally supposed to end with Once in a While, like the "Part 2" of Blank Page. Which is why the Japanese version has it set up that way.

True - but I really wonder how many discs they're aiming for with this one. I just assumed it would be a two CD/one DVD job like Gish and Siamese were. And if that's the case, then please oh please make me pull out my singles for Czarina, Summer and OIAW and give me three other songs instead.

Overall, I'd have to say that's been one of my biggest beefs with these reissues: loading them full of stuff that the hardcore collector already has when there's other stuff out there that they COULD put on there - when really, I would assume that 80% of the people buying these reissues are hardcore fans who already have the singles from that era.

i was actually surprised there wasn't more of that. i was expecting the predictable record company reissue bonus disc with all the already released b-sides and side stuff, and maybe one or two unreleased tracks.

Where was this mentioned?

It's all lined up for late November like the reissues before it... right?

Well he's been working on the damn thing for ages. At least we can assume there'll be lots of new content.

I hope he goes with that full-colour Adore artwork, it looks sweet.

The full color treatment on TAFH was a bit much, can't see how that would look good for Adore.
The color scheme they had for Daphne Descends could look good, if they use Yelena's work a at all.

Billy contacted me personally a couple of weeks ago to let me know about these reissues, and asked my personal opinion about some of them. I spent some time putting together a power point presentation on what I thought he should do and uploaded it to him around 2 am. Approximately 10:05 am, he called again and thanked me and said that he appreciated all of my effort and that he was taking my ideas seriously.
