I can't really rank them (to paraphrase my answer from the band thread, it's what you want at the time that's best) but stuff I enjoy:

Italian
Indian
Mediterranean
Mexican
American

stuff i don't:

Japanese
Chinese
Ethiopian (had once when I was like 11 so not really fair to dislike but whatever)

stuff with good elements:
French (onion soup, [mumbles, points at croissant], various breads and pastries)
English (cozy stuff that isn't coming to mind right now)

I had to stretch to even find 10 to name. I lived in Indiana all my life lol. and a lot of my views are skewed because i was raised vegetarian, so a lot of my favorites are stuff that can be made without meat

The problem with Greek cuisine for me, is their love of goats' milk.

I like Greek and Italian food about the same.

I think Vietnamese and Thai cuisines are probably my favourite. That explosion of lemongrass/coriander/lime/ginger/chilli/coconut with the fish sauce umami is pretty magic.

'Indian' cuisine doesn't really exist, the same way that 'U.S.' cuisine doesn't exist. I mean you could say U.S. cuisine is burgers and fried chicken and donuts but then what about like tuna casserole. Is the national dish of the U.S., the casserole?

Greeks, especially certain island populations, tend to live pretty long. Could be all that olive oil, tomato, and yogurt. Probably they just have good genes though

If you mean because Indian cuisine is too diverse across the country, that's true but it does all come from India and there are some commonalities there. Even Westernized Indian food is based on real food from India. The US is totally different because even though there are distinct cuisines, there is no truly American cuisine; it's all pretty directly borrowed from other places. The only truly original culinary thing which has originated in the US is the art of mixed drinks.

I mean ok, but India is smack bang in the middle of a lot of overland trade routes so it doesn't really 'all come from India.'....

Generally speaking maybe we could say that American cuisine is a milder flavoured, mass produced version of other cuisines, served in bigger portions with a soda , sweet iced tea or coffee?
