turning 30 hit me hard. not looking forward to 31 at all, either. but for some reason having to select 30-34 in this poll was the worst age-related experience yet.

i don't think i'm dreading 30 anymore. on my way to work last week i was mistaken for a high school student so what do i care? and no one ever gets it right. besides - age ain't nothin' but a number and i'll be young at heart forever unless i keep worrying about my age.

i'm 29, btw.

i dunno. maybe i will cry at my birthday dinner, but it's nothing a trip to six flags or a shooting range can't take of.

I am anticipating my 30s being a lot better than my 20s but that's another 5 years away anyway
Also my mom looked better in her 30s than 20s so maybe that will happen to me

Getting older sucks if you're a hypochondriac.

I think people mind getting older when they feel they're not where they expected to be at..well whatever age they are now (or closing in on). Needless to say, i'm fucking terrified of growing older and it depresses me whenever i have to think of my age (which is everyday, i may obsess over it). I would say in fact that my mental health has deteriorated in recent years directly because of how old i'm getting. I feel like this is it, last chance, if i havent' started to climb out of that rut by the time i'm 40, it's over, might as well walk off the closest bridge. Done. Kthnxbye.

Hitting 20 actually hit me back in the day.....seriously it did. 30 i was like meh but probably because it was overall a decent year, but 35 was the tough one so far. The other side of 30, closer to 40. I mean if i think about it right now i can't even begin to process that. When i was 15, 40 was like has-been stick a fork in it age. And i still kinda feel this way....

age hasn't really affected me negatively so much as certain stupid, regrettable events that at least for a time i can't seem to shake

that shit makes me feel older when i'm not particularly
and starts having me look back a little as if i've already lived and am already in my "washed up, dried up well" phase or whatever, at times

i'm less warm and sympathetic toward the "common man" than i am to certain criminals & outlaws

don't know if i'll ever understand what leads a person to murder though

but anyway, yeah - quite hellish, that!

I had terrible health anxiety in my late 20's. If I had a headache that lasted for more than 48 hours, I would think it was a brain tumor or something. I probably was a bit of a hypochondriac, but never went to the doctor for it. Just waited it out.
