1. Mouths of Babes
2. Blank Page

3. Once in a While
4. Soothe
5. Bleed
6. There it goes
7. Rhinoceros
8. Galapagos
9. Shame
10. Stand Inside Your Love

I used to think I couldn't pick all-time favorite Pumpkins songs, it always changes. But apparently some stay in the top10, comparing now to the last ranking a year ago

thirty-three
tonight tonight
1979
Age of innocence
Galapogos
shame

I have to say back in the early 2000s in such thread everyone would pretty much have mayonaise somewhere. what happened?

Trots I think Behold! has some nostalgia stuff gong on that makes it in my top 10. Adore's my favorite album but that's the oddly the only song I can enjoy by itself except for To Sheila.

No offense taken, i was aware people would say that (especially This Time).

Like i said, i haven't been a fan in a long time. Like i actually stopped liking even the records i used to like. I coudlnt really listen to SD or Pisces iscariot and enjoy them now. This is the songs i today still at least sorta like, it would have been a much different list in 2001. Some of these i put on that list I didn't even like that much then. My musical tastes took quite a serious turn some time in 2003. Sp lyrics i used to love suddenly sounded really terrible to me, the voice i thought was so unique just began to grate me, and those big riffs started to make my eyes roll. By all accounts i shouldn't even hang on the SP board. I'm just so bored i read the threads anyway. You can safely ignore my opinion on all things SP.

I don't think anything from my top forty would be on Machina. Diff'rent strokes huh Willis?

I got into SP in MCIS era though i'd kinda sorta liked them since SD (but really just knew the singles). but Yeah even in my pumpkinhead days i always favored the poppier stuff. Though at first i didnt like Adore but warmed up to it pretty quickly. I could never like Gish, i liked SD back then but could never claim any of my favorite songs were on it, i used to like PI quite a lot though. And MCIS, only about half but the half i loved i really loved. As for machina, i'd say maybe 2/3 of it i liked. But TODAY, adore and Machina are defintiely the SP records i like (or tolerate depending which songs) best.

I still want to know why Mayonaise was pretty much in everyone's list in 2000 and now it's not in most people's lists.

that'd be a hell of an SP mixtape to give someone. Hmm let me try to put it in order:

turdlion's SP MIX:

1. rocket
2. tonight tonight
3. jellybelly
4. hummer
5. 33
6. appels + oranjes
7. fuck you
8. through the eyes of ruby
9. to sheila
10. stand inside your love
11. aeroplane flies high
12. set the ray to jerry
13. bodies
14. starla
15. muzzle
16. xyu

I wonder if that'd fit on 1 cd

strictly speaking gish to mellon collie (as i haven't listened to any other pumpkin albums in a looong time)

porcelina
silverfuck
siva or bury me
glynis
mayonaise (although i could honestly switch this out with any other song from sd)
whir
hello kitty kat
bodies
to forgive
love, cupid de locke, or galapogos
any single off of mellon collie

kind of went overboard here but narrowing it down has never been easy for me
all i'm sure of is that i fucking love porcelina and it might be my number 1

honorable mentions
thru the eyes of ruby (if porcelina didn't exist, would be a top 10)
honeyspider
there it goes
not worth asking
apathy's last kiss
translucent
stp
moleasskiss
blew away
obscured
drown (might have been on my list if glynis didn't exist)

well, here's my actual list:
(in no specific order)
rhinoceros
today
soma
hummer
luna
by starlight
tear
shame
blank page
stand inside your love

.. oops, that's 10 already? well to be honest, I didn't name these songs because I think that they're "better" than other pumpkins' songs, it's just that these are my PERSONAL favorites and I relate to all of these songs quite personally.. listening to each one of these songs takes me to a specific time period of my life and they remind me of whatever I was going through (good or bad) at the time.

here's a couple of songs that also hold a lot of meaning to me that I haven't listed:
this time
slow dawn
crush
mayonaise
la dolly vita
starla
1979

Billy would hate this thread. I've not seen anything post-2000 on these lists. Everyone is living in the pass.

I included 6. The old music caught my attention when I was young, and made them my favorite band. The newer has kept me interested and kept the band as my favorite.
I love how Billy is so productive and original and creative, and evolves and stuff.

Really my favorite songs are all off MTAE because it's the newest and listen to the most. My favorite Pumpkins tend to be the newest album I get.
