such a cool vid. i was just looking through his instagram because of this and saw a post from october, where he's put up a photo of billy looking at a large handmade machina booklet

in the comments a user asks if he knows why billy wants to use different artwork for the reissue and he says 'you could not step into the same river twice. as quoted in plato'

The lack of bass guitar is the same as the original as far as I know/can tell. They've kept the same mix. It's just remastered, I believe.

The only thing I ever found "mysterious" about Machina was all the alchemy symbols in the art, dumping the Vasily Kafanov art is like dumping the whole concept. Not like there is a lot of mystery in HMM or SIYL.

i went for a long time thinking this was the official studio version. apparently it is not, but frankly i don't know if i'd even like a potential "real sp" version as much cos it's pretty damn good

Pale Scales was great. And, to be honest, a significant part of what made it great was Melissa’s bass style. It really suited it. It just “sounds” like you’re standing in a crowd after waiting in line all day, now just two minutes away from the Pumpkins jamming into the rest of their set. Brings back memories.
