Best thing about all of it is that it's caused me to go back and listen to Gish for the first time in a couple years. Jesus Christ, what a breathtaking album. All of the rockers (I am One, Siva, Bury Me, Tristessa, Snail) are filled with so many amazing moments... Fuck

It sounded better than expected but goddammit I just can't take that kid seriously. He just doesn't look right back there. I'm all for giving everyone a fair chance but he just seems to create unintentional laughter. oh well whatever bill.

Actually, Billy is wearing a dress and pearls in this video. If he did that now, he'd never hear the end of it. So, fashion-wise, there's a huge improvement that's happened since 18 years ago.

what's your point? those performances of pug/daphne still kick the living shit out of what we're seeing here in 2010.

i guess ultimately, though, people are only going to give a fuck about the music from the past. no one here is talking about the performances of songs for a son (the only new song posted on you tube), astral, widow, stitch, that's the way, GLOW (yet to have postings on you tube). we only care about how loudly billy screamed during bullet and how a 20 year old can play jimmy chamberlin's drum parts some what correctly.
billy probably realized this is the best way to get people to talk about him and back tracked on his promise of not playing old tunes. btw there that new song 'baby'.. which i actually like. |

concerning all the discussion about byrne:
there's no denying that he can perform some solid rock 'n roll drumming. he's better than the douches in bands like staind & limp bizkit and the like. he's just no Jimmy Chamberlin. but really, who is? kind of reminds me when matt cameron replaced jack irons in pearl jam...played the old songs with a "looser" style. |

so now we're using that old sill debate of 'well at least it's not as bad as the crap out there now like limp bizkit and staind!' eesh.
btw i'd be thrilled to see matt cameron playing with SP. |

What's the point paranoid? The old SP is never coming back. It sucks I know, but get over it and move forward. You should be pleased that at a minimum SP3 or whatever you want to call it can still rock out with the back catalog. Plus there will still be the occasional good song that comes out from teargarden. I can understand and participate in bashing retarded shit like widow make my mind or wrestling commercials or firing Jimmy. Repeating the same old gripes when there is a sign of improvement and movement in the right direction is unnecessary though. Oh fuck I'm sorry I even bothered to type this much but I might as well just post it at this point

The band sounds good. Mike is okay but he will never be like Jimmy, Jimmy is just a beast. It's good to see Billy enjoying playing SP songs again, it seems like he needed the 1 1/2 year away from the tunes to start appreciating them again. However, it looks like there will not be a tour after all or at least not until later in the year.
By the way, it sounds like he changed the lyrics in siyl. What is he saying at the end of the clip? "who wouldn't be the one you ?" (it's supposed to be "love" but it sounds like "starve"). |

It's just about being a two faced phony. And this thread really puts those people into the spot light. I bet the people who chose "No" in the previous pole that they aren't going to the upcoming Pumpkins concerts probably are. You either like something or you don't.

stitch in time and stumbleine were solo acoustic at the start of the show, so I'm guessing the non-Billy setlists didn't bother including those songs to avoid confusion
