I was quite excited about your first mix, but was honestly disappointed by its contents. Some of the "older" songs were ok, but much of it was this kind of saxophone/funk/cheesy 80's-sounding garbage that makes me feel terrible inside and holds no association whatsoever with summer, as i know it. Fuckin' deleted. I really don't want a "summer" mix to have ironic throwback shit on it. Maybe you didn't intend it as such, but still. Make it sound fucking cool, man.

Just listened to the mix posted in this thread.
That soft snare, soul-y type vocals, guitar solo, synth, funk-y, slap bass shit. Man. Terrible, terrible stuff. Feels like you are playing DJ to screaming throngs of hipsters. Perhaps this is just your aesthetic, and that's fine, but good lord, this is the kind of music that makes me feel awful inside. Not even listenable. "One Silver Dollar" was nice, though. |
