That 80s quiet storm shit feels so warm/comforting to me; conjures early childhood images riding around in the back of one of these

QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf/Era Vulgaris (still a little keyed up from the show)
At The Drive-In - Relationship of Command ...Trail of Dead - Lost Songs First-time listens Chris Cornell - Higher Truth I was a little apprehensive about this, since the solo output I've tuned into post-Euphoria Morning has been middling to garbage, but this was really nice. A good cap-off to his career. Grant Hart - Hot Wax Speaking of rock icons that died this year... I had never listened to any of Hart's solo stuff before (sans the excellent lead track, You're The Reflection of the Moon on the Water) but after giving this its first spin, I plan on going back and listening to the rest of his stuff. Good to know Bob Mould didn't take all the magic with him when Husker Du dissolved. |

Late last night:
Mark Lanegan - Bubblegum QOTSA - ...Like Clockwork Today: Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse of Reason (really a pretty decent album) Deftones - Around the Fur First-time listen: Brand New - Science Fiction Don't know how I feel yet; like Daisy, I can't help but go into it expecting another The Devil & God. And this definitely isn't that. There's stuff that I already like a fair bit better than Daisy, but I expect this one to be a grower. |

MCIS Reissue
So much worthless shit. Who the fuck wants acoustic ruby or another bwbw? Most of it is garbage. However there are some gems. The sadlands instrumentals in particular ascending guitars and the beautiful middle eight. also i have concluded that towers of rabble is the best tsp song ever!!! |

I just listened to the entire Nujabes discography hahah
BTW, he was a Japanese music producer who made some great shit. He even worked on the Samurai Champloo discography. These are the Nujabes albums I listened too: Modal Soul Hydeout Productions (both, since part 1 and 2 are separate) Metaphorial Music Departure Too bad he's dead though. Aruarian Dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYRDgd3Tb44 Modal Soul, the full album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avBZXNYwuqc |
