is this album an instance where he did NOT ruin the songs in the studio because i was listening to some of the Vic FM show today and it all sounds so flat and uninspired.

that whole part with the crowd singing "we can change the world" was the lamest thing i've ever heard - just completely neutered i didn't believe a word he said.

Although I was still fanboy enough to buy tix to his StL show on this tour; ended up eating the cost because I had to fly out to California for a wedding the next day.

I have nostalgia though simply because life was really fucking cool around the time this was released - best summer of my life.
