Asheville soundcheck is pretty interesting to listen to, 10 seconds of the end of Bury Me at the start?

listened to Zwan live earlier and now it's gone. that Deckstar apparently files a lot of copyright claims to get videos deleted.

does that mean taping live gigs is over?
also what has deleting Zwan live on youtube to do with whatever rights Deckstar might have on unlicensed SP outtakes? I don't get it, what's going on?

Damn, got everything but the El Sol mp3 (thought I already I had it, I was wrong). Would enjoy a PM to "discuss" the matter.

El Sol is LIVE at the Hideout 2002.
surely totally worth deleting from youtube, with hundreds of Zwan live recordings on there, let alone the thousands of SP live recs

fuck you "Deckstar" - what is wrong with you. what's your problem with a handful of people listening to and enjoying one Zwan live song? (yes, I do think whoever or whatever Deckstar is, they are reading threads here.)

edit: http://www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?...Zwan2002-10-28

I hope the play it on this tour

My thoughts listening to the Asheville Rehearsal.

-If I remember correctly, of all the songs rehearsed, "Fuck You and Heavy Metal Machine" got played during the residencies. I love how, if any of these other songs had been played, the fans would have lost their shit. Instead, we had to wait and hear shitty Mike Byrne versions of them down the road.
-I always enjoy Billy screaming chord progressions at the band. You can hear him do that during some of the Adore demos on the reissue and during one of the leaks from 2014.
-LOL at Billy having to remind Jimmy the difference between "Hello Kitty Kat" and "Frail & Bedazzled'
-I would be content if Smashing Pumpkins never played "Heavy Metal Machine" again, but the version they rehearsed sounds a LOT better than the wank-fest version they settled on during 2007/2008.
-You start to understand why working with Billy exhausts so many musicians. The amount of music they learn is staggering, particularly considering they do not end up playing 90% of it live. I remember watching one of those drum clinic Kenny Aronoff did once, and he said Billy required him to learn, essentially, the band's entire discography even though Billy said from the get-go that no songs before Mellon Collie would be played on the Adore tour.

Shit. No wonder he keeps coming back to Jimmy C

I wonder how much of the catalog James still knows

Honestly, I would expect this would be a major stumbling block if, in some reality, the original four were to try and get back together. I doubt D'arcy has touched a bass since she left the band, and I'm sure James still remembers a lot of the riffs and could re-learn the songs, but I doubt either of them really want to take the time to do so.

Watching Billy riff off Gish was so cool:

I mean I know it makes sense that he can, but it's still impressive to see. One of the few things that I still respect about him

I'm really curious about how that rehearsal tape exists. Obviously it's an SBD source, but why was it...finalized and exported to a file? I know nothing about this but...from my position of ignorance, it seems like quite a significant leak

My best suggestion would be to go to Youtube, type in what you're trying to find and sort by upload date and hopefully you can find what you're looking for
