Some buddies in my old band were always raving about them... They even went as far as to see fucking 311 live because SS were opening. Never got the hype or love for that band. Sounds like generic shit to me.

As far as immature music goes though this band takes the cake
Fer sure man. It's immature and crass, but theres also an honesty in it. Something that the "worst side of you" can still relate with and appreciate. I mean, I like to drink and do some drugs here and there, and NOFX really is the band that pervades that culture. You gotta appreciate it for what it's worth

Is nofx the band that had the guy playing drugged up solo shows dressed like a clown?

Yeah, but that was more of a performance art type of thing. A solo show were Fat Mike did a few songs and let out some painful moments of his life that had been haunting him.

The Cokie the clown skit was pretty hilarious I think though

I play practical jokes
This squirting flower
That wasn't flour
That blew up your nose
It's my special blend
Of X, Coke and K
You should be okay
In several hours

He's got oversized shoes, and ill fitting clothes
That is real blood dripping from his big red nose

I think he had that get up for several shows during a tour or what not.

What you're thinking of was probably that SXSW show where he performed acoustically and shared a bunch of fucked up moments in his life. It was the show where he poured everyone shots and then hooked up a tv that showed him previously pissing in the patron bottle. It caused a bunch of controversy. It was just a hoax though

My knowledge of NOFX pretty much begins and end with the fact that Kathleen Hanna wrote Deceptacon as a diss on Fat Mike and anyone Kathleen Hanna has ever dissed or started fights with in her life is as far as i can tell a real fucking moron so i'll go with that. Not that i think Kathleen Hanna or her musical (and lyrical/ideological) legacy is 100% super terrificly flawless but you know, it's good enough...

(actually i'm sure fuzzy would describe her as a hipster icon)

I was backstage at a festival in Germany
talking to a cute fair skinned brunette
I asked her if she wanted to have a beer and if she liked our set
I noticed that her hair was longer in the back
I figure that’s cuz she’s Canadian
That’s why I was surprised when she told me she was fully lesbian

That's when I realized it was Sara, or maybe it was Tegan
I'm pretty sure that it was Sara
Cause Johnny Sampson said she was the cooler one

That's when I creeped out Sara or maybe I just pissed her off
When I asked her if her sister and her had ever had a threesome?
Where they both ganged up one girl, a forgy or a fivesome?
Do they think strap-ons are groovy, and had they ever seen the movie
Bound and did they like Jennifer Tilly, did they like Jennifer Tilly?

yeah the reason why she went off on him was because of songs called "on the rag" and one about lesbians. then he wrote a song called "Kill rock stars" in reference to the label in which he directly adressed Hanna and basically said that she was a man hater and then that led to Deceptacon.
