Look, I posted up an opinion of this record without giving too much away. I posted up a photo of the promo sleeve that didn't give too much away either. I never said I would leak this. I never said I could. I'm not some high level journo. I don't get paid for the writing I do and this is the perk of it. This is the first time I've got a promo of a record I really wanted and I thought I'd share my excitement on here. Now I've been sent private messages with threats in them on here and have people acting like I've already betrayed the band by leaking a record I've only just listened to!

Please can you just leave this alone and understand I will have no association with leaking this record. I'm not some fucking hardened net journo who doesn't give a shit. I'm a young Smashing Pumpkins fan who thought I'd post up my feelings on how excited I am by this record on first listen. Some people have taken this and run with it and now I feel like I've done something really wrong. Maybe it was naive to post up here. I know you're all so excited to hear this record. I'm sorry if I've pissed a lot of you off.

Please leave it though. I'm scared shitless now.

it is very dangerous telling people that you have the album, because you never know who might come break into your joint and steal 3 forks and some family photos and leave the album sitting on the kitchen table.

I've not posted on here enough to figure out how strong the reaction would be. Yeah, I completely deserve to have a wave of posts come at me. I just don't want to be associated with anything illegal. Loads of you have rarities and vinyls and stuff that I don't have. This promo is my little moment of glee that I thought I'd share. Someone else will have the next thing to post about (whoever has front row at the Paris show, most likely). In the meantime, sorry if I caused anyone to get pissed off.

well how about you just do us the service of answering some general inquieries, ie my question in the thread where you posted the pics.

it sucks we don't even get teases, short of some dj comments and a bullshit 30 second clip. yes i love leaks, no i don't like to wait until scheduled dates. i envy NIN fans

Instead of wasting time on whining you could just simply give us some hints about album, not certain "this song is heavy and lyrics are like that", but just some "i liked that song and that i didn't like" etc. I think any info would be appreciated, no matter how obscure it is.
