What will be MTAE's first single
So now that the official site mentioned that the first single is due any day, what do you think it will be?

Tiberius
Apparently it's a 'rocker', it's the first track on the album, and it has a cool sounding name. Also it's interesting reading the wikipedia page. From a different perspective this whole process seems less dysfunctional and more normal. Tracklisting in case you can't navigate THE PANOPTICON: 1. "Tiberius" 2. "Being Beige (World's On Fire)" 3. "Anaise" 4. "One And All" 5. "Run2Me" 6. "Drum And Fife" 7. "Monuments" 8. "Dorian" 9. "Anti-Hero" |

It's probably a "rocker" and barely disguised rip off of Bryan Adams Run to You. One can only hope anyway.
Or maybe it's a 80's funk song a la Prince. |

This just made me realize that all of Billy's modern vocals sound like Bryan Adams trying to do Prince or vice-versa. It's like a yin-yang. So cosmic.

I don't remember what he said about Anaise on the panopi, but it's the third song so i'm guessing it's the single

Single? When was the last time Billy had a song played on the radio? Like 10 years ago?

Really ugly design there
I get what they're going for, kind of. Like a comic book type thing and MCIS space stuff. But it's just kind of bland. And the L and S are kerned weirdly in 'Celestials' |

the one that actually surprises everyone by being unexpected & good
i kinda like the MTAE cover it's sorta "grittier" or somethin than the past coupla ones, more mysterious i guess? and to his credit that Run2Me thing COULD just be an unfortunately-titled but well-meaning ode to the New Order single Run2 that's what i tell myself anyway |

Also if you look at the original post by Billy, Anti-Hero is supposed to be Anti-Her0.
I don't know if that was a one time joke, if he was stoned, or if the titles are actually supposed to be in all caps, or if he hit the wrong key, or what. |

No, Ram's right, it looks weird. The spacing (kerning) is off between the L and S.

Album cover looks sweet. I had no idea a single was due so soon. I know Corgans been hyping up the new work but I thought it would be like it was with Oceania where it wouldn't see the light of day for like a year.
Has a release date been made for the album yet? Does anyone have any hopes that it'll actually be good? My expectations are pretty low. |

Album cover is bland, kind of bleak, very abstract.
Hopefully it's not a reflection on the music. Actually I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high on this one. |

I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised. My beef with TBK and Oceania was that the music just lacked any urgency it was all just sorta bland and loose. Tommy Lee plays with a lot of intensity and urgency so I'm hoping it brings some energy to the overall sound.

vocals are our biggest stopping block, fellas. then again, i was encouraged to hear he used the SD era harmonizer on his voice on at least one song

Yeah, his voice really has been a deal breaker lately. It's gotten pretty one-dimensional on the latter material.
