Default I prefer Raindrops and Sunshowers to Apples and Oranges

R&S seems like the sequel or follow up to A&O kind of like Perfect is the follow up to 1979.

I think R&S just flows better and it doesn't sound as dated.

appels is better, but i do love raindrops

they were always underrated at least in the context of their respective albums

raindrops i thought kicked ass right off the bat, with jimmy coming in with the semi "dnb" drums and whatnot

i like both. but apples and oranges lyrics are a bit meh. i found adore hard to like on first listen and i remember apples and oranges was one that made me go, well its not all bad. Later on i found more to like. R+S was always one of the best ones on machina.

I've always thought this too. Although I prefer Appels + Oranjes. I don't get the hate for that song...It's a great song...dosen't sound "dated" to me.

It's those opening lyrics

Very cringe worthy

it was one of the demos that got leaked a few months ago, and then monty and sp camp got involved so they were removed from the boards

luckily I downloaded all of them.

anyways, I seem to like the sound of A+O more, although the lyrics are crap. R+S demo version kicks ass too. I even like it more than the album version.

I missed that, even the Glass & Ghost Children demo available on youtube is new for me, very interesting!

R&S demo is really good, especially at the end of the song with the right lyrics.
Nothing at the level of A+O demo we have on the reissue indeed.

Both songs are great. The production on R&S is monolithic. The lyrics of R&S are not cringe-worthy by a long shot.
