he just doesn't give a shit anymore about gear like he used to. Today there's thousands of pedal punching kids out there that all own more pedals than he does layed out on 4 simultaneous monster pedal boards... it's a battle he'd lose today so he doesn't bother playing.

It's interesting how he ranted about personal legacy questions and states that he's happy to answer a question about a pedal, but then when someone asked a technical question about an amp, the person gets called a nerd and potentially banned. i read it. found it interesting. using four paragraphs to explain a position is not egotistical, it's providing evidence. perhaps your ego took a blow and now you are trying to knock this person down a notch to feel better about yourself.
