Aye. Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute.

I'm not certain what the snare is though. Thoughts? It's not his signature one, at least on this picture. Looks like it might be a Yamaha Recording Custom brass? (He used brass and copper on most of Machina [tour], as you probably know). That's my guess at what i'm squinting at anyway....

Glad they mic'd the gaffer btw

Yeah looks like the 14x6.5 Rec Custom brass. Interesting to see to his left he has that 3 or 4" deep snare with the raw splash on it... and the "clap stack" just above it. I wonder how many "electronic" sounding songs are gonna appear on this record that warrants him having these sounds permanently setup to his left... also check out the amount of muffling on the brass snare! Oh, and he's persisting having the DW9000 double kicks setup too, wonder if he'll actually use it...

That's not MCIS... that was seen on the Chris Isaak show and the 20th Anniversary tour. The PHX range came into production in like... 2008 or later?

I also didn't know mofo bought this kit! I remember seeing his posts on the Pearl Drummers Forum! That's insane he's still going and still collecting. I messaged reverb and offered a slightly lower asking price for the PHX (cause I live in Aus, shipping was the killer) but they wouldn't respond

I would've been all in on that machina kit if half of it wasn't chopped up and hanging on a hard Rock cafe wall.
