Why is Billy avoiding the Metro? Did they have a falling out with Shanahan?

More like the other way around. Who knows if SP would have even got signed if not for Joe Shanahan passing the demo tape on to contacts he had at labels.

I’ve wondered at times if they haven’t played there because Billy had been waiting to have the 4 original members back together—a sort of psychological healing for himself, an attempt to be poetic about coming full circle from 1988 and redo what he thinks should have happened in 2000. When having Darcy back imploded last year, perhaps it negatively affected his mood re: booking a reunion show at Metro.
Someone should just hit up Shanahan and ask. |
