As Smashing Pumpkins album it's a 0/10.

As a Billy Corgan solo album with an edited tracklist I will occasionally listen to... it's a 4/10. I wouldn't normally listen to something I rate so low... but BC gets nostalgia privileges even though I think he appears to be a terrible person and is making some batshit late career choices.

I couldn't get through it, which says something about the album and about myself.
But I feel disqualifies me from voting.

But if i'm to rate it on the CYR scale. It's a perfect 10
No album is more CYR than this.

I think it's worth a 4, but I will return to it a few times.

Below average for albums I listen to, above average for Corgan's solo work.

The only good thing about streaming CYR is that the great albums are just a click away. Seriously, dude's lost it. Or he got lost.

Really tough to rate this one at this point. Instrumentally i like this better than anything big willies done in the studio since the machinas, probably

But omg the big willie vocal is horrendous and i do not like any of the choices on the lady vocals, either their constant prominence or their uncanny sterility. So that alone knocks several points off it

No album is more CYR than this.
Yes we are officially using the CYR scale. Or more specifically we are operating from the understanding that, juxtaposed against the world of music at large, this is a terrible, terrible album. But set against the career arc of big willie, we can rate it within its own little bubble of how terrible is it compared to the many other terrible records we’ve heard this big willie do

Trim it down to 10 songs like everyone seems to be doing and you've got something listenable.

Greatest Garageband album ever made. Jimmy really brings it home on this one!

What a bland piece of garbage that goes nowhere. Crazy to think Billy, the prolific songwriter he is (was?), thinks this is good music and deserves 20 fucking tracks of the same bullshit.

I haven't listened to the album yet - but I do know that this statement is already exactly how I feel.

That said - I will naturally come back and participate in this poll, as I greatly applaud the scientific and precise nature of the numeric assignments.

The thing about those hideously flawed countdown timers were that each time, I would get two more songs - and each time I realized that they were some sort of 2020 quality level iteration of a hybrid between Eye, Try and one of those dogshit tracks off of the import disc stickered 1979 remix CD that I bought at Circuit City in a slimline jewel case for $14.99. There was just no variance from one track to the next.

So when you put twenty of those back to back to back, it's just too damn much.

4/10 overall. About 6 or 7 pretty good songs. Definitely the SP album with the most filler ever released. FutureEmbrace is wildly better.

Whole-heartedly disagree with all of you (except YA5H),

Albums slightely less then NCIS and barely above SD. Id say its pretty comparative to Adore.

So stoked ...

You’ve always had questionable opinions about music though. So that means little coming from you. Go back to your bong.

If he took out the backup vox and the drums weren't so plodding or terrible sounding, and reduced it to 10 songs, would be half decent.

So many puzzling choices on this album.

So basically Pumpkins fans give it 4/10 - that feels about right.

Accurate. As a double album 4/10. If it was single disc with the first 10 songs give or take one or two (Ramona is weak) and add Save Your Tears it'd be a 6/10.
