Default I am Ava Adore

Anyone have any idea where this originated?

Found in my archives. Looks to be a part of the Adore Documentary. In the same folder are links to an MTV article from summer 1999, but they no longer work of course.

also i never understood how they got changed and showered and stuff after a show but fuck it makes so much sense knowing that they're generally playing in converted sports stadiums

You can almost feel the electricity and excitement in the air. They were truly at the peak of their game in 93.

Some venues like The Metro have no shower at all, i believe. It means playing a gig, going back to the tour bus, sleep it off and voilą another day comes by.

If they had a major label tour bus, there'd be a shower in it I'd imagine.

Nobody ever uses shower or sink on tour buses because it's just tank water and it's not good for humans... At least that's what they told me 10 years ago.

Tour life is a lot less glamorous in real life i suspect.

If they are big money they're probably staying in hotels with a convenient tour schedule.

I'd say in 93 they probably weren't in hotels so much. They may have been on a big label but hadn't crossed the tier to major band quite at that point.

Well by 93 they were already playing 4-5000 capacity venues promoting a 4x platinum record. They were probably well past the accommodation dilemma lol. Private dressing rooms, private bathrooms, dedicated catering and so on...

I think it was one of those bands that went from local sensation to stardom almost overnight.

The look on Jimmy’s face says I’m ready to do heroin right this damn second.
