Has anyone read White Noise by Don DeLillo?

This is a very illuminating book. Maybe the most important book of the 1980s. I'm very plugged into the literary scene and I this book really helped me to form my opinions about death and mortality. It was pretty artful how the main guy kept putting his head between his wife's breasts whenever he was scared of dying. I think it's pretty enlightened and bohemian of them all to get along with their ex-spouses so well, and the parts where the college professors speak in learned paragraph-long responses about fears and societal constructs mirrors my own life a lot. Then again, I can understand how a lot of people on here would find that shocking to their lily-white middle class sensibilities. But I make no apologies for my openness and desire to learn.

I read the first third-or-so of it last month on a recommendation. It was kind of upsetting and I ended up starting something else and forgetting about it. What I read was memorable though. ha ha.
