Gish is a word billy made up when he was three, which is how old he was when he wrote and recorded that album.
Siamese Dream is a reference to how James and Jimmy were joined at the head at birth and shared a single personality until they met Billy. Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness is named in honour of Bono's dog, named Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, who died while the album was being recorded. Adore is a cryptic and deliberately misspelled allusion to an actual door. Machina was actually left untitled, but for convenience's sake rock journalists adopted the name "Led Zeppelin IV" etc etc |
