So you like Walking Shade?

Sometimes I listen to All Things Change > The CameraEye > Strayz. Sometimes that + To Love Somebody.

I really don't understand the hating of To Love Somebody, Walking Shade and Strayz. I'm not a huge fan of the album, but those 3 are the stand out tracks for me.

Well, actually, Tilt is by far my favourite "album" track - and surely wins the award of Most Pumpkins-Like song...

Mina Loy is great too but I really don't understand the loving of TheCameraEye and the hating of the aforementioned tracks.

I love Billy's voice on To Love Somebody during the verses. Good to see I'm not completely alone in liking this song!

I usually skip All Things Change just because I can't wait to get to Mina Loy. Then I skip Now and Then because it slows down the pace of the album sometimes. And I usually stop listening after Walking Shade.

I skip "All Things Change" on occasion... I usually skip "Now (And Then)", I often skip "Sorrows (In Blue)", and I cut it off after "Pretty Pretty STAR".

Where's the opinion in what you said? "It sucks"? That's hardly a mature opinion on something, now, is it?

The album is 45 minutes of different songs with different feelings and dynamics. To simply sum it up as saying, "it sucks" reeks of immaturity.

People just jump on the bandwagon on this board. It's like being at school all over again. Just because all the "cool"* kids don't like the album you get people like you with no real opinion on it jumping aboard with such fantastically witty comments as "i don't listen to the album at all because it sucks", in response to a thread that's basically about what people's current favourite songs are.

We're just not learning, are we? Why doesn't say something ABOUT the music instead of about their OPINION of the music? Most of the people on here are so fucking musically retarded they shouldn't even be allowed to have an opinion... Who invented this internet thing, anyway?

Granted, and I'll give you that. Like I said in a previous post - I'm not a huge fan of the album.

It's still a hell of a lot more dynamic than most stuff you hear nowadays so to simply sum it up as "it sucks" is just lame in my opinion. That was all my point was.

At least you have the decency to say what you don't like about it - that its monotonous. I actually agree with that in some ways. Certainly Now (And Then) drags on too long and both Sorrows and and Pretty, Pretty STAR still seem to merge into one when I hear it.

The album, like anything Corgan has released has highlights and songs you'll tend to skip. Even MSOTS has highlights (ok maybe only one highlight - Jesus I/MSOTS) and I'd rank that below TFE in terms of quality...

YMMV

I don't remember referring to you by name. Ok, maybe the "over 1,000 posts" thing was a bit generalised but those people know who they are. As do the rest of us.

Yeah, I've done that too. Lately I've found myself putting it on when I cant decide what I feel like listening to. One of those albums that doesn't blow me away, but that I feel like I can depend on regardless of what mood I'm in.

i said it sucks because i said in other threads enough about my opinion on the album. and "it sucks" sums my opinion about it up. and an opinion about such a thing cannot be mature or immature, it can only be expressed in a bad way, which i did, intentionally.

Of course an opinion can be immature. What are you talking about? Anyway, that wasn't my point.

My point was that you "expressing your opinion in an intentionally bad way" as you put it was what was immature.

Anyway, it matters not. I've said my piece on it.

I've just been reading comments like the one you made every day pretty much since the album came out, on this board. Today I just thought that I would say something.

I don't expect it to change anything.

dude, you seem to have pretty bad taste. and i probably won't go any further into this.

name your top 10 or 20 bands besides the pumpkins, zwan and billy corgan's disastrous solo career.
