Smokers are the ones changing the environment for the worse. Anyone should be able to eat or drink at any bar or restaurant, but its smokers who should have to take their disgusting habit elsewhere (out front) since they are the ones changing the variable.

why is the smoking variable so important? here's a list of other things that might keep you from eating at dining establishment with great food:

it's too expensive
it's too far away
you're vegetarian
the place smells like stale farts
it's run by mexicans

also, i would like to point out that you're mistaken in thinking that eating in any restaurant you want is a right. the property owners have the make the ultimate decision to even let you in.
