Default Smashing Pumpkins T-shirts

I realized I don't own a single Smashing Pumpkins T-Shirt!

Was looking online, this seems cool, should I buy it?

wearing an sp tshirt makes no sense anymore. it's like willfully paying to be wearing a token of shame

Man I had so many shirts from SD onward, and now only a Machina tour t-shirt is left, and even that's crumbling

I've seen SP shirts at Target lately, no joke

I can't even process how something so meaningful and intimately personal to adolescent-me has evolved into throwaway false nostalgia alongside fucking Bazinga! shirts and readymade canvas "art" of giant coffee cups and the Eiffel Tower

I didn't even know they were popular enough now to qualify for that.

I've seen RHCP and Nirvana shirts at Target, not Pumpkins.

Eh, I have a few Pumpkins shirts. Even though Pumpkins suck now, I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear them, because I still like the original stuff, which is the stuff I'm talking about when I say "my favourite band is SP."

Plus, most people are completely unaware of the fact that Corgan is still alive and making music, so that mitigates the embarrassment somewhat. Nobody is going to look at my shirt and go, "Oh, so how about that track 'Spangled,' eh?" Nobody but us knows that even exists. They are going to look at my shirt and go, "Oh, those are those guys that did '1979,' right?" and I'll be like, "Yeah."

My favorite SP shirt is the friends and enemies of modern music one, with the giant cartoon flame and water drop on the front. Anyone else have this? People usually don't even know it's an SP shirt

Yeah I still have and wear the Zero shirt. And when someone sees a guy wearing a Zero shirt it's pretty clear what he's representing.

The Pumpkins tees I have are the Zero t-shirt, the Zeitgeist-era one with the Madonna holding an atom bomb, an Arising Tour shirt with these spooky astronauts on it, and a couple of Oceania-era t-shirts. Used to have that Nixon tee, too.

Can't say I wear any of them often. Nothing against the designs in general. I just don't tend to wear t-shirts often anymore. I mostly just wear shirts. I feel weird when I'm wearing anything without a collar.

well come on man, someone sees a random guy with a ZERO shirt and they're not thinking "oh! he's definitely a Nicole Florentino fan!"

Someone wearing a zero shirt is definitely representing that particular era and not the Linda Strawberry Leno choir

Like I flew solo to the Coutney Love show when she came so I figured I'd throw on the Zero shirt and it instantly had people striking up conversations with me and I ended up partying with some cute red-head chick who's favorite band was SP.

Wearing an SP shirts like wearing a badge of honor.

It's actually funny, the red-haired chick I met was also looking to buy a ticket in, as we both randomly kinda showed up hoping to find one and some random beer belly guy in an AIC shirt came up to us and asked if we needed tickets and literally gave each of us 1 for the sold out show... I like to think it's cause he realized we were all a degenerate brotherhood/sisterhood of alt-rockers.

Onto your shirt inquiry... Don't buy it.

I hate those shirts that are "pre-faded"... It's supposed to look like you're some badass for finding some ancient, faded, decrepit SP shirt (cause SP's an ancient band so it makes sense that you'd find an old shirt like this!) and still deciding to rock it anyways... But really you just look like a complete geek for wearing a "pre-faded" shirt.

My mom got me the same knida shirt with the Guns logo for Guns N roses this past Christmas... And I just can't bring myself to wear it...

You gotta be a special kind of square to walk around with a brand-new shirt that's already faded to shit.

Hey guys, this can be yours for the modest sum of $185.
http://static.musictoday.com/store/b...m/BGCMPK05.JPG

Just go to a Hot Topic near you and ask for the "Smashing Pumpkins: The Black Parade jacket."

Yeah it's cool that you can still find the classic zero shirt at most "rock-shop" kinda places. I'll probably always have one in my collection
