Default Los Angeles, CA - 9/15/2007

They're rebuilding their page now, it's back up. Here's the link http://www.myspace.com/obscuredsp

Hmm, the LA Pumpkin Fans MySpace page has mysteriously been deleted.. Anyone know what's up or how to get a hold of them? I used to have Jodi's private page in my friends list but it's not there anymore.. They just sent out that bulletin a couple of hours ago.. I hope they weren't deleted for leaking that info, but its not like it was a big deal? Strangely, the blog is still accessible from the link I posted, but all their bulletins have vanished, and if you try to send them a message it says "invalid account"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the LA SP Fans MySpace... I'm not sure what she's talking about with regard to a Seattle show..?

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...c-54941635b28c

Date: May 23, 2007 12:45 PM
Subject *COUGH* LOS ANGELES PUMPKINS DATE *COUGH*
Body: OK OK I'll stop fucking around since I'm soooooooo MOTHERFUCKING EXCITED about this one...

Evelyn here, with some NEWS...

I have it on good authority that the Smashing Pumpkins have infact CONFIRMED to HEADLINE the KROQ Inland Invasion this year!

Although an exact date has not yet been announced, my secret source has been kind enough to let me know that the Pumpkins are FINALLY hitting SO CAL via the 909...not familiar with the term 909, it basically means the Inland Empire area, yes the venue in San Bernardino, Hyundai Pavillion at Glen Helen ...much love to the 909 btw...

(so its not really Los Angeles, but fuck close enough for now!)

The show is generally held in September which makes sense since the Pumpkins are on the West coast in Sep for the Seattle show...

so if the news from yesterday's show wasn't enough, I'll repeat, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS ARE HEADLINNING KROQ'S INLAND INVASION!!

With love from Pumpkinland (I wish),

-Evelyn

Aw man! The Hyundai Pavilion sucks ass. I hat that place. The last time I was there for Inland Invasion I wasn’t able to get out the parking lot until 3:30 a.m. and the show ended at 11:30 p.m. I guess I’ll have to suck it up and go.

I'm surprised Billy would have anything to do with KROQ anymore. They didn't play his solo album at all, while on 103.1 I heard his stuff a lot, and he even did an interview with Steve Jones.

well kroq really only plays music that they can cash in on, so if the artist can potentially play at one of their festivals or sponsored gig they will play the shit out the artist's record

Has KROQ even played Tarantuala since last Friday? When I listen to KROQ and they say they are going to play the Smashing Pumpkins... Today, BWBW, or Cherub Rock comes on. They're busy playing Red Hot Chili Peppers or Nirvana a million times a day anyways.

Yeah. I know Rodney on the Roq played DIA and Walking Shade when the TFE album was about to come out. Other than that, KROQ has not played anything new from Billy until now.

In reguards to Seattle, they are playing "endfest" sponsored by 107.7 The End in Seattle this September. SP is headlining, and The End moved the date to september specifically to accommodate the pumpkins..

I sadly live in the 909 for the last year or so, if this is legit (the band as Headliners), then Im going. I would rather have a non-festival show here though.

I hate festival shows. I swore I would never go to one again after that last Inland Invasion I went to.

yeah. KROQ always has shitty bands play. Personally, I don't like The Killers, Plain White T's, Peter Bjorn and John, Korn or Linkin Park.

Btw, Tarantula is number 2 on KROQ's Furious Five @ 9. So at least more people are getting the lies burned off from their souls.

It was several years ago when they had a primarily 80's line up. As you can tell I was pretty scarred from it. The sound was horrible until I think have way through Duran Duran set.

The Cure
Duran Duran
Dashboard Confessional
Dramarama
Echo & The Bunnymen
Fountains Of Wayne
General Public
Interpol
Jet
Kings Of Leon
Psychedelic Furs
Berlin, Bow Wow Wow
