It's a collection of stuff released right outside what I'd call their "essential" years which end right at This Nations Grace

Frenz is probably their most pop album, it has their highest charting songs on it and it's when the UK general public became aware of the band with TV appearances and videos and such
It suffers from being the first Fall album with filler imo, there are songs that I just skip everytime

Kurious Oranj is excellent and a trip back to the more unconventional Fall. It's written as a score to a ballet and tries out a bunch of interesting stuff, but probably a fans only type of thing

The singles collection is hit and miss

Hit the North is an absolute banger but I'm gonna be honest and say I didn't even know there were six versions of it and an instrumental goddamn

The Fall's biggest hit and it was a cover lol

This song and video from Frenz experiment pretty much funded The Fall for three years

I've heard about her for years and I know she's good buddies with the National who are one of my favorites. I've also sort of been waiting for someone to get me into her.

over the course of 2 years I collected 240 tabs which finally perma-crashed firefox a few months ago, causing me to reinstall it. I already have 80 tabs open again.

I always hear her name mentioned alongside things like Arcade Fire and that sort of stuff that I just call "indie" even though I don't think indie is really a genre but what else am I gonna call that stuff

That stuff can be hit-or-miss for me. Some good musicians in that corner of music, but also a lot of boring "hey guys we're so quirky" stuff.

Yeah, I think it's a testament to how short my attention span is now. I open a webpage, get a third of the way through the article before I get bored an open another tab to check some other article, with the intention of finishing the previous one later. Ad infinitum.

I need to make my Chinese New Years' resolution to just finish a tab before I move on to another website. Maybe have no more than six open at a time or something. Right now I have ~70. And my browser and other programs need updates and I'm just like "nope not done yet."

after about 10 tabs they just start opening off screen and you have to scroll over to get to them. or there is a drop down button that displays them all vertically

St Vincent is an excellent guitar player and songwriter, but not in a singer-songwriter kind of way. The only reason why she isn't among my very favorites is that I don't love her lyrics (they aren't terrible, though). She only has 4 albums, 5 if you count the David Byrne collaboration, so it isn't that hard to get into her stuff. I think Marry Me, Strange Mercy and St Vincent are equally great. Actor is a bit worse but still very good, and I've never listened to Love this Giant.
