you don't seem to understand anything about Gitmo. Obama can't close Gitmo because of legislation passed by congress. his hands are tied. They've blocked him from closing it.

I wasn't commenting on the use of Drones. I was commenting earlier on the use of Torture. If you want to criticize his policies on the use of Drones I might agree with you, but it's not a reason to dump on him for what went on under Bush.

it's interesting how close fatalism and nihilism are politically to libertarianism.

If the political process didn't work, rich people wouldn't spend billions of dollars trying to influence it. If it didn't work slavery would still be legal, women wouldn't be able to vote and Senators would be appointed by State Legislators.

If we all elected Democrats we'd see progress. It's not an all or nothing thing, gradually things would get better. But when people say shit like "Oh they're both the same" and "nothing will ever change" and they don't vote, they're part of the problem

But the money in politics shaping the outcomes is a real barrier
